CATALYST HIGH SCHOOL MINISTRY

CATALYST began as a new program in the fall of 2019.  The idea--to give Christian teens the opportunity to not only grow in their faith, but to give them opportunities to apply that faith in a real-world way, to help mentor the Thrive Middle School Program.

Open to high school teens, this group meets twice a week.  On Sunday evenings, we meet for 1 hour to share a bit of food, and to talk about implementing the Monday Night Thrive program.  We also discuss each student's faith, and have a small Bible study/reading of the messages and lessons for the next night's program.  Catalyst participants are given training on being leaders, dealing with situations that come with teaching.  Catalyst students run the game part of the program, and as they develop comfort in their leadership, they are given opportunities to share their walk with God, and even lead an evening's discussion.

Students participating fully with the Catalyst program can also earn community service scholarship credits.  Any local high school students interested in joining our high school program can email JB.
